very few manage to push past the exterior he keeps up and remain unscathed by the festering rage that sits below his skin , all the carnage causing the person vahn'ik was before his family's deaths to perish alongside them. it's unclear whether he'll ever truly get closure for the senseless violence that befell his family but there is no rest to be found until he is satisfied. he will not cease his warpath until every person involved becomes nothing more than another body inhabiting the sea of red he wades through.

about his wardrobe vahn is not someone who is very concerned with how he looks , honestly he has much more to worry about most of the time. his scars do not bother him and he often finds he enjoys clothing that is often considered more revealing. being in armor all the time he often misses being able to feel the sun and wind on his skin. this means in his free time , weather permitting , he can often be found in much less than when he's traveling around.
the echo as with all hydaelyn's chosen, the Warrior of Light possesses her blessing, affording the power of the Echo to allow them to relive the pasts of those around them with absolute clarity. vahn's echo in particular tends to latch onto very deep , emotional moments or intense feelings. tempering immunity vahn'ik is unable to be tempered or be placed under the control of primals , a side effect of being a bearer of the echo.
unlike most of the scions and other warriors devoted to hydaelyn's cause has some rather intense feelings on being used as a vessel of her will and the light. with most of his life revolving around the hunt for his father and for something to soothe the pain in his chest vahn'ik finds himself often wishing he'd never crossed paths with the scions , no matter how much he cares for them. he craves the freedom that can only come with his own death.
fighting style : vahn is a very aggressive fighter no matter the class he is. always believes that he can take any hit coming for him , that following through with his strike is worth any pain down the line. anything to win while this is incredibly the point that he can get very carried away.
enhanced combat skills vahn'ik is incredible adept at picking up new weapons and learning how they work. though he did start out as a magical ranged fighter , he eventually begins to form a habit of leaning more towards physical roles in combat. light shield the ability to harness hydaelyn's blessing into a sort of shield to protect both himself and those he's fighting alongside. other abilities enhanced strength , enhanced speed , enhanced endurance , basic healing skills / knowledge.

in a muddy mirror lies your past born into a fairly sizable yet isolated family unit , vahn'ik grew up surrounded by his mothers and sisters. having been born female , he was often chided for much preferring the company of his elder brother's and father's anytime they made their way home to their encampment. when they were gone , often on hunts , often vahn'ik would be stuck to his mother's side , trying his best to help her with anything she could need , wanting to simply show just how reliable he could be if he was allowed to join his brother's & father's on their travels.on one of their visits to the family unit's encampment , a ten year old vahn'ik decided that in order to prove his worth & that he belonged with the male counterparts of his unit he would go on a solo hunt , to gather enough small prey in ( as it was all he could offer as a small child ) , and bring them back. a dangerous plan , but one he set out on that fateful morning , only heading back to the camp hours later with an array of small creatures , though not as many as he'd like.returning to his family's encampment , the young miqo'te was greeted with chaos , burnt down structures , and various bodies strewn about , most notable of those being some of his family members , though not only their bodies littered the ground , but also that of garlean soldiers , armor vahn'ik only knew of due to descriptions given to him by the two of their fathers ; his own , olarke'to & one of the other's mholi'to.through his staggering through the encampment he eventually found one who would eventually be the only survivor of the massacre , his eldest brother xim'a , near death due to his injuries , but conscious enough to urge vahn'ik not to linger , for their attackers could not be far and that among the attackers sat one of their own , olarke'to , his father. with xim'a critically injured he also pleaded that his younger sibling mercifully end his life , something that after much prodding , vahn'ik brought himself to do.for four days vahn'ik stayed with the camp with corpses of his family , ignoring his brother's final instructions in hopes that he'd be found or that his brother was mistaken , that their father would come back for him - a moment that never came. the first two day unable to do much more that mourn those he'd lost , vahn'ik still rested in the tents with the bodies of those long past , most nights clinging to the cold and decaying body of his mother , pleas for her to return drowned out by the cold night's wind.on the the third day he began to bury his family , refusing to leave them as he'd found them , the last to be buried was his mother , a piece of him unable to fully let her go until the end.on the fourth day he left what had once been his home , leading down a path paved with his grief and want for vengeance.

pre - msq vahn'ik before vahn'ik came to limsa lominsa , an event that would lead him to cross the scion's path , he was a well known bounty hunter through out gyr abania and the black shroud. often known for his work against certain sectors of the garlean forces , he is not a particularly friendly ( nor well - liked ) figure that is spoken of in the hushed talks of rebellion and anti - garlemald sentiment.warrior of light vahn'ik set during the events the main story scenario ( when can be moved around , the only expansion i haven't finished is dawntrail and i'm not against spoilers ).companion ( version one ) while a holder of the echo , vahn'ik is not the warrior of light , instead a companion and member of scions of the seventh dawn. not much is known of where he is from , nor what he was doing before being recruited via the efforts of minfilia and urianger. most of the information known has been gained over the few years he's been working with the others , the main thing being that vahn'ik often keeps to himself ― something that bleeds into his preference for working alone. he often can be found in vesper bay awaiting another job , unless he's got an extended amount of free time , then he can be found in the gold saucer.companion ( version two ) a prolific bounty hunter in the gyr abania and black shroud area , known for his harsh attitude and ability to hunt down even the hardest of targets. despite his harsh attitude , he does not involve himself in matters concerning hurting innocents , especially those under the thumb of the garlean occupation. in fact , vahn'ik is known to confront the empire's forces when he comes across them , the miqo'te holds no love for the people in the uniform that haunts his dreams. while he will help out when he can , rarely will it come without a price : whether it is food , shelter , or information ( his most preferred kind of repayment ).etc honestly this is only here to say that i'm more than open to anything , especially through talking / plotting things out.
